How Our Warranty Works When You Need It Most: Actual Warranty Coverage Events
While we have one of the most comprehensive warranties in the industry once in a great while a new part can fail prematurely. Even though we are a local family owned business you still have nationwide coverage through the NAPA AutoCare warranty Network. Standing behind our work, and at the same time offering our customers peace of mind, is what we're all about. We have provided a couple of instances that this highly unlikely event has occurred and how it was handled to prove the integrity of our warranty. It’s why we offer the warranty we do…just in case.A Breakdown While Traveling July 2010

2 Great Experiences (Repair and Warranty) April 2010: My car's water pump unexpectedly went out and these guys were fortunately the closest to my car....being at their mercy and urgently needing to get my car repaired, they fixed the car promptly and had me back on the road within a few days. They kept me updated on the status of the repair, quoted me honestly and (in retrospect) a very fair price. When I went to pick up the car, one of the employees took extra time showing me pictures of water pumps and explained how and why they go bad. They most definitely improved my predicament, and left me with a renewed faith in humanity (especially car mechanics). Good stuff guys!
July 2010: I was recently driving through Colorado and my car started overheating on the interstate. I had to fill my radiator with multiple gallons of water and turn the heater on full blast (keep in mind it was 95 degrees outside) to make it to the nearest repair shop without the danger of overheating the engine again. After a day of assessment, the mechanic informed me that I needed to replace the water pump. I informed the mechanic that I had just had my water pump replaced in Austin (above review) and I was in disbelief and very hesitant to believe that my water pump had gone bad after only 3 months from the previous repair. However I was at the mercy of the mechanic, and I obviously couldn't take my car back to B&B Muffler to have them check it out as I was some 2000 miles away. So I went ahead with the repair, which was comparably priced to the repair done in Austin. I called B&B Muffler and spoke with Richard about my predicament. Richard informed me of the 'Peace of Mind' warranty that existed for all repairs completed by B&B Muffler. I called Napa's 800 number and filed a 'Peace of Mind' claim. Quickly after filing the claim, and having both parties fax their invoices, I received a call from Napa informing me that I would be reimbursed for the full amount of the repair. Richard was extremely helpful during this entire process, a matter of 3 days, and I was once again extremely satisfied with the outcome and the quality of this company. Once again, good stuff guys!
